My background and experience come from being a Certified Athletic Trainer for the past 5 years with focus on athletic injury prevention and proper body mechanics. One of my favorite parts of working with people is educating them on how everyday activities can affect the entire body and teaching them how to adjust and strengthen those areas of conflict. No matter your level of activity, with StretchLab, we have the opportunity to focus on the importance of body mobility, retraining impaired areas, and helping you feel the best for whatever life throws at you!

My background encompasses many aspects of holistic health emphasizing on the use of body-based practices and therapies to influence greater physical, mental and emotional health. I graduated from Metro State University with a Bachelor of Health Science Education in Integrative Therapeutic Practice and a Minor in Human Services. I am also a Massage therapist, Yoga instructor, Life/health/diet/habit evolution coach, Ayurvedic practitioner, and Herbalist. I enjoy spending time with family and friends, going to concerts, painting and other artistic projects, spending time in nature, and learning. I love working at StretchLab because I love to see how people’s whole life can change once they start feeling better in their bodies. Once one gets to the root of the initial imbalance and starts taking action to improve, the sky is the limit on how one's whole life and body can be rejuvenated and full of vibrancy again or maybe even for the first time in their life. My passion is to help people feel good (body/mind/heart) and educate people on how to decode the message of the system and respond effectively to keep them continually feeling good and making progress toward their end goals.

My background is filled with a handful of enriching educational, work, and life experiences. I am a recent graduate from Concordia University in Saint Paul, MN earning my Bachelor's Degree in Kinesiology. Prior to my degree, I found my passion with fitness, mental health, and personal healing, hoping to share my interests and use it to help individuals of all ages and backgrounds to become the best version of themselves. I started to complete multiple certifications including NASM Personal Training, Fitness Nutrition, and Corrective Exercise Specialization, as well as ACE Group Exercise Training. With all of these certifications and my degree, I've gained experience in the fitness field as a trainer, group instructor for all populations, and now as a certified flexologist. I love working on the bench at StretchLab not only to help members improve their flexibility and range of motion, but help them also grow and push themselves to a happier healthier lifestyle. In my free time you can find me playing outside, pushing myself physically and mentally between hiking, trail running, and adventuring out on my paddle board!

Hi! I'm Jake, and I'm excited to help on your journey in health and wellness. I've been professionally involved in the Health & Wellness space for 6 years now, starting as a personal/group fitness trainer, then as an Exercise Physiologist in an outpatient physical therapy setting, and finally I joined StretchLab as a certified Flexologist. Additionally, I also have a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota Duluth, and a Master's Degree in Sport & Performance Psychology from the University of Denver. My real passion is to simply help individuals find greater enjoyment and engagement in life and in their endeavors. One of the reasons this is difficult is that we commonly can get sidelined by nagging injuries and pain without a holistic approach to training. Recovery is the often overlooked mechanism of improvement, and this includes stretching, flexibility, and mobility. Let's work together to build a program toward your goals. See you soon!
