I have an extensive background in lacrosse and played at the collegiate level while pursuing my bachelors in sports science with a double minor in biomechanics and nutrition. I’m currently studying to get my certificate III and IV in fitness to become a certified personal trainer in Australia. I am always looking for ways to broaden my understanding of the human body and discover new methods for injury prevention.       Hey there, I'm Laurel! Artistic Swimming, formerly known as synchronized swimming, has been the cornerstone of my life as both an athlete and coach for the Canadian National Team. My commitment to this sport runs deep, and I've spent years honing my skills and knowledge to excel in it. I'm proud to hold the title of Chartered Professional Coach from the Coaches Association of Canada, alongside a Bachelor's Degree in Communications. But my journey into flexibility began long before these achievements. From a young age, my love for flexibility played a crucial role in my success, helping me stand out as one of the most agile athletes throughout my 17-year career. I firmly believe in the power of daily stretching routines to keep injuries at bay, even amidst the rigorous demands of high-level competition.       My name is Ryley! I am a recent grad from the University of Brighton in England with a degree in Physiotherapy. I also previously completed a degree in Kinesiology at the University of Alberta where I have 5 years working as a Physiotherapist Assistant as well as a Kinesiologist. My passions are sports and athletics however I have loads of experience working with a wide range of varying clients. In my spare time you would find me on the golf course as I try to play 4-5 rounds a week at minimum! My goals with all clients are to assist them with achieving their goals through any type of physical activity that interests them. No matter what fitness or mobility level you are at, I am quite keen to be a helping hand in getting you to where you want to be!

We all know we need to stretch, but not very many of us do it by ourselves! When I am not working I can often be found mountain biking, hiking, cross-country skiing, or keeping up with my kids and dog. I look forward to meeting you and helping you on your wellness journey.

      Hello there! My name is Khalil, and I am originally from England but now proudly call Calgary my home. Fitness has been a central part of my life for as long as I can remember. My journey began as an international badminton player, where I honed my skills and developed a deep appreciation for physical health and athleticism. After my playing career, I transitioned into coaching badminton, sharing my knowledge and passion for the sport with others. Upon moving to Calgary, I took on the role of Vice President at the Genesis Centre. Once the center was built, I joined the YMCA as a fitness instructor. Over the years, I have had the privilege of teaching at all six YMCA locations in Calgary, gaining valuable experience and connecting with a diverse community of fitness enthusiasts. Additionally, I have taught fitness on cruise ships and at destination resorts in Mexico. Recently, I have discovered a new passion for helping people through stretching. I find immense reward in seeing my clients achieve relief from discomfort and work towards their broader fitness goals.       Hello! My name is Miguel. I am an athletic therapist (AT) alumnus from MRU. From the moment I could kick a ball, I was always involved in some sport or activity, from soccer or rugby to sailing or climbing. Throughout my academic career, I got to experience working with 8 different sports, some of those being men’s hockey at Mount Royal, University of Calgary wrestling, and Ambrose University soccer/futsal just to name a few. Now, I look forward to using my skills and knowledge to help others return to their lives and whatever they are passionate about. Outside of Stretchlab, I work as an AT on the sidelines of soccer pitches and hockey benches around the city. I also spend a lot of time playing soccer and enjoying the outdoors!
