Emily
Flexologist
I've taught aerial dance, flexibility, and fitness classes for the past five years, and I've been an aerialist for six years. When I first started aerial dance, I had no dance experience and was pretty sedentary, but I fell in love with having to focus on strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Most of all, I enjoy creating choreography and watching my students progress in their journey. Along with teaching aerial dance, I'm also a clinical exercise science student at Georgia Gwinnett College and will graduate in the spring of 2025! When I'm not dancing, teaching, or lesson planning for classes, I'm cooking a new recipe, playing pickleball (not well), or cuddling with my fluffy Maine Coon cat. My other interests include painting, interior design, and learning/trying new things. I'm always searching for a new hobby or skill to try! For my sport, a huge amount of flexibility is required to perform well, and assisted stretch allows me to increase my range of motion, more so than I could on my own. Whether you're an aerial dancer, soccer player, parent, or office worker, flexibility is a requirement to move independently in your daily life. The body craves a variety of movement, and the Flexologists at StretchLab provide the guidance necessary to increase flexibility.
