As a Senior Flexologist and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer Matessa understands that your fitness and mobility needs are unique to you and your experiences. With her exceptional knowledge of body mechanics combined with a sincere desire to know your story she will guide and encourage you through a stretching program that specifically promotes your personal mobility goals. Whether you are an active athlete or have sustained an injury, Matessa understands that increasing your mobility is the key to unlocking your confidence in movement throughout all aspects of your life. Prior to StretchLab, Matessa ran her own personal weight training business in Washington State. In 2022 she, along with her husband and three daughters, chose to move across the country for a fresh start in South Carolina. Matessa enjoys spending quality time with her family, working on her own personal fitness and health goals and tending to her many indoor plants.

Jackie was born and raised in Ohio and moved to South Carolina with her family in 2019. She started working at StretchLab at the front desk and after seeing firsthand how much one-on-one assisted stretching benefits people’s health and well-being, she decided to further her fitness career and become a Flexologist. Jackie is a certified personal trainer and is passionate about health. She believes that to be healthy, you need to have both mental and physical wellness. And physical health is directly affected by a person’s mobility and flexibility. Therefore, she sees StretchLab as the foundation to overall health and she wants to help improve people’s lives by getting them moving easier and started down their own wellness path. Jackie is a single mom of two children and a dog. In her free time, she loves going to the gym, reading, and crocheting. Jackie is excited to meet you and help you on your wellness journey at StretchLab!!

Key was raised in York, SC and moved to Spartanburg while getting her BS in Exercise Science at the University of South Carolina Upstate. She fell in love with the area and decided to make it home! Key played a wide variety of sports growing up and she was always focused on being physically active. Her love for stretching started when she was a Color Guard in High School, where they stressed the importance of ensuring your body moved easily to both help performance and prevent injury. Key also has a background in the healthcare industry where her compassionate and caring personality served her well. She truly enjoys sharing health, fitness, and wellness of the body with others. Key’s love and passion for stretching and for helping people continues and she’s excited to work in this modality to share her knowledge with you at StretchLab Spartanburg!!

Kathryn was born and raised in Greenwood, SC. She has always had a love for health and fitness and played volleyball and soccer throughout high school. Her teammates encouraged her to become a personal trainer, and she trained with clients professionally for 6 years. Kathryn then decided that she wanted to help people recover after injuries, so she took her career a step further and became a Licensed Massage Therapist in 2022. She is currently in school for Physical Therapy and working towards her PhD!! When Kathryn’s not studying, you can find her out roller-skating, working out, or doing an art project. Kathryn has a passion for learning about healing the human body and she has gained a proficient understanding of how the muscles work together and against each other. She knows the benefits of stretching and is excited to share what she has learned with you on your flexibility journey at StretchLab!!

Mariah was born and raised in South Texas but currently calls Spartanburg home. She attended Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, TN where she earned a BS in Exercise Science. Mariah has had a passion for helping others feel their best since she was young. Her journey into the wellness industry started when she recognized the mental and physical connection in helping the body move better. Then when working with stroke recovery patients, Mariah experienced firsthand how stretching restored movement, reduced pain, and brought back independence. That transformation process drew her in. Mariah is well equipped in recovery and rehabilitation, so whether she’s helping someone regain strength or improving mobility, she’s dedicated to creating personalized plans that make a real difference. When Mariah is not working, she’s loves going on hikes, watching movies, and baking – especially when it’s with friends and family! Mariah is excited to meet you and develop a flexibility plan for you to reach your goals at StretchLab!!

Matt was born in Bitburg Germany on a military base, but was raised in Clinton, NC. He went into the health and fitness field because of a lifetime of sports participation. Matt has a PhD in Kinesiology with a concentration in motor behavior and a minor in exercise physiology from Louisiana State University. His interest in stretching stems from a desire to improve the quality of life of his clients through increasing their range of motion using natural movements. Matt’s area of expertise is in motor control and biomechanics where he analyzes how the individual parts of the body work together to make up everyday movements. In his downtime, you can find Matt spending time with his family. Matt is anxious to connect with you and share his knowledge and experience to help you on your own customized flexibility journey at StretchLab!!

Abbey has 8 years of collegiate athletic training experience where she developed expertise in orthopedic rehabilitation and return to performance as well as injury prevention. Her formal education includes a BS in Athletic Training along with a Master’s in Healthcare Management . Abbey loves learning and is always earning CEUs to maintain her athletic training license and certification. Her interest in the health and wellness field started when seeing other people getting injured on her HS basketball team. Abbey chose to pursue athletic training to be involved in every step of a person’s health journey from prevention to recovery. She’s focused on stretching because she feels it’s something everyone can do and benefit from, whether you’re a Division 1 athlete to a grandparent and everyone in between. Abbey was born and raised in Ohio but now calls Spartanburg home. In her free time, you can find her lifting and running (she says slow mile times still count!), reading, hanging out with her cats, and volunteering as a meeting assistant for Women for Sobriety. Abbey is anxious to connect with you and share her knowledge and experience!!

Noelle was born and raised in Columbia, SC, and lived in both Bluffton and Spartanburg, so she proudly calls herself a South Carolina girl through and through — with roots in the Midlands, Lowcountry, and Upstate. As a NASM Certified Personal Trainer, Noelle is currently working toward additional certifications in Nutrition and Corrective Exercise. Her love for movement began early from her days playing soccer and her years as a gymnast. But the interest in stretching began in her gymnastics years, where flexibility was key. Now, her focus has shifted to maintaining a pain-free, mobile body and helping others do the same. Having experienced injury herself, Noelle has a deep passion for injury prevention and recovery. She strives to help others build strong, flexible bodies that can move without pain — and to be a source of support when setbacks occur. When she’s not in the studio, you can find Noelle line dancing, traveling, going to Bible studies, and enjoying coffee anywhere and everywhere. Noelle is excited to meet you and help you reach your goals at StretchLab Spartanburg!
