Flexologist
Christie joins StretchLab Norfolk from another StretchLab studio in VA, bringing 1.5 years of hands-on experience as a Flexologist and a deep passion for helping clients move, feel, and live better through assisted stretching and wellness-focused care.
A graduate of the University of Maine with a degree in Kinesiology & Physical Education, Christie worked as a student athletic trainer, personal trainer, and group fitness instructor throughout college. She also holds a Holistic Nutrition Certification through the Cornell Center for Nutrition Studies and has extensive experience working with special populations, including Adaptive Services, Parkinson’s, Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, and the aging adult community. Christie has even led exercise classes designed specifically for individuals with Alzheimer’s and dementia.
In addition to her civilian career, Christie proudly served as a Corpsman in the U.S. Navy, where she trained as a Surgical Technologist in the Main Operating Room at Portsmouth Naval Hospital, with a special love for Neurosurgery. She also co-managed the General Surgery Clinic while stationed in Rota, Spain.
Outside of work, Christie loves surfing, collecting and caring for plants, attending local concerts, teaching and performing Latin dance, and staying active through both instructing and attending Zumba classes. Her unique blend of medical expertise, movement education, and vibrant personality makes her a true people-person with a passion for helping others feel their best!
